The name is ASICS, " A nima S ana I n C orpore S ano," which means: a healthy mind, in a healthy body since the company's philosophy is that movement has benefits in both the copre and the mind. In postwar Japan, the founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, recognized in sports the power to rekindle hope and optimism in people. So he dedicated his life, and society, to helping individuals and entire communities improve their state of well-being through sports. After more than 70 years, these are still their beliefs.
